Copperheads are excellent for control of pests like muskrats and turtles that eat baby ducks and break mother duck's legs. The accuracy is superior to the flat head pellets and the velocity is actually improved over flat heads. I would not attempt to bring down a raccoon with copperheads but they will discourage the pest and send a smarting message.
