They seem well balanced and since I'm just learning, they are a good value for what I need.

The weight is very comfortable for 3 to 6 yard throws. Any further and the blade side becomes too light the on blade end. Because of the type of steel that these knives are made from, be very careful when sharping. The nylon sheath is very durable and I like the belt strap length. This is a very good starter set! Don't drop them too many times on concrete. Again this is a steel issue.
