It doesn't come out of the package with a deadly edge but it was certainly sharper than the machete I bought at Wal Mart. After a small amount of sharpening, it slices through small trees and brush very well and it has enough weight to hack through larger trees almost as well as a hatchet. And although it's a great size for chomping around the camp fire, I can't say I would rely on it in the deeper part of the woods. |
