Nelson Blue Devil 200 Watt Birdbath Heater with Thermostat

This is the second unit I've had in 20 years, even though they come with a only 5 year warranty. It does the job and then some.

The product does what is made to do. It does a good job keeping water available for birds to drink during sub freeing tempatures all winter.

This is a fine product, and our birds thank you for your thoughtfulness!

The Blue Devil is the best bird bath heater I have found for our Maine winter environment. It uses enough power to keep the water thawed down to about -20 degrees Fahrenheit in a sheltered area. The first one I had lasted more than 10 years before it quit working. When I went to get another I could not find a Blue Devil locally and had to resort to the internet to find one. It is so good, and lasts so long, that local merchants don't carry it because they don't keep having to replace them, i.e., once you buy one, you don't need another one. And the Birds Love it too because it really works. Having a bird bath heater helps to turn your backyard into a winter oasis with lots of birds and wildlife coming to your water.
